Overview
Busitema University Faculty of Health Sciences is located in Mbale, Uganda. Established in 2007, the faculty began its medical programs the same year. It offers programs such as the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNS), Bachelor of Public Health (BPH), Master of Public Health (MPH), Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health, and Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery. It is accredited by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) in Uganda and recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS).

Enrollment and Tuition Fees
The faculty enrolls approximately 1,000-2,000 students across all programs. Tuition fees for international students range from approximately $1,500 to $3,000 per year, depending on the program. Fees for local students are lower due to government subsidies.
Application Requirements
Prospective students must meet the following requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent with strong grades in science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
– Proficiency in English (TOEFL or IELTS for non-native speakers).
– Submission of academic transcripts, a personal statement, and letters of recommendation.
– Entrance examination or interview (depending on the program).
