Overview
Makerere University School of Medicine is located in Kampala, Uganda. Established in 1924 as part of Makerere University, the School of Medicine is one of the oldest and most prestigious medical schools in Africa. It offers programs such as the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNS), Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm), Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (BBMS), Master of Medicine (MMed) in various specialties, Master of Public Health (MPH), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Sciences, and Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health. – High school diploma or equivalent with strong grades in science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
